Outpost VFX is excited to announce that Nick Hurst, formerly of Framestore, has been appointed VFX Supervisor with immediate effect
His recent and most notable work includes breathing new life into some of the key characters of Disney’s 2017 reimagining of Beauty and the Beast, and helping to bring the now much-loved character Baby Groot to the big screen for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
Nick not only brings an extensive blend of creative and technical abilities and a thorough understanding of producing the highest quality visual effects for film and TV, but also a true enthusiasm for visual effects, and will utilise all of his accumulated knowledge and expertise to help facilitate every project that comes through Outpost VFX.
“Over the last year we have built a strong reputation in the industry for producing world-class visual effects, bringing in and developing the best talent to work on the very best projects,” explained Gez Hixson, Head of Production at Outpost VFX. “I am excited to have Nick Hurst join us as VFX Supervisor – his wealth of talent and experience will further strengthen our already successful team.
“Nick is a long-term friend of ours and we have been trying to get him on board for some time now. His CV speaks for itself and we are excited to see him help Outpost grow into the go-to place for high-end VFX.”
Nick hasn't quite made it into the office yet, though – he’s on set for a major feature! More details to follow.
