Outpost VFX Features Generate Awards Interest

12 February 2017

We’re incredibly proud of all our work, but we’re especially excited by the critical acclaim and industry recognition that two of our films have been getting in recent weeks

With a BAFTA win for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer, and three British Independent Film Awards for Best Screenplay and Best Debut Director for Babak Anvari and Best Supporting Actress for Avin Manshadi, we’re extremely proud to have worked with Babak & Wigwam Films on Under the Shadow. Furthermore, our CEO Duncan McWilliam was an Executive Producer on the project, so the BAFTA win is even more exciting for all of us here in the studio.

In addition, Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals won the Grand Jury Prize at Venice, took the box office by storm after its official release in October and was nominated for a total of nine BAFTAs in various categories, plus an Academy Award nomination for Michael Shannon as Best Supporting Actor.

That’s a total of 18 awards nominations and four wins so far across both films! We’re wishing Tom Ford the very best of luck at the Academy Awards.

Awards certainly aren’t everything, but it’s a pleasure to work on award-winning projects nonetheless.
