Becca Scott Appointed Head Of Production In Montréal

Another key hire for Outpost in our new Montréal facility

Experienced VFX Producer Becca Scott has joined Outpost as Head of Production for North America and will head up our new studio in Montréal.

Formerly of MPC and Smoke & Mirrors, Becca has enjoyed a VFX career that has spanned the last decade in both London and Montréal.

“With such an amazing talent pool in Montréal, it’s a great fit,” said Scott. “I’m looking forward to developing our Montréal team and continuing to build on Outpost’s success.

“I could not be more thrilled to be a part of Outpost, and to be heading up the new facility here in Montréal. Outpost has a great reputation, and a refreshingly different take on the culture and environment needed to produce excellent visual effects.”

Becca’s extensive experience in the field made her the ideal candidate for such an important role as we establish ourselves in Canada. Her credit list is fit to burst with quality VFX-led productions including The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Suicide Squad and The Martian.

Following Becca’s appointment, Gez Hixson has moved up to Global Head of Production and industry veteran Andy Burrow has been promoted to UK Head of Production.

“With Becca joining us as Head of Production, I could not be more excited to see Montréal grow from strength to strength over the coming months and years,” said Hixson.

Our expansion into Montréal marks the opening of our first ever international studio, complementing our 10,000 square foot HQ in Bournemouth, UK.

As well as offering us access to a highly-creative, well-established talent pool, opening an international studio will enable us to work with clients across multiple time zones and ensure we’re continually refining our offering.
