Project Overview
Nautilus, based on the classic Jules Verne novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas, sends us on an adventure with the intrepid Captain Nemo and his misfit crew as they’re hunted across the oceans by Director Crawley of the East India Company.
Produced by London-based Moonriver and distributed by AMC in the US and Amazon Prime Video in the UK, Nautilus featured a wide array of complex visual effects, ranging from full-CG ocean scenes to island environment extensions.
Overseen in-house by VFX Supervisor Christopher Antoniou, Outpost VFX’s work on the Nautilus series included much of the above, as well as face replacement, stunt enhancement, large amounts of water simulation, set extension, underwater FX and much more.
Working closely with overall VFX Supervisor Derek Wentworth and VFX Producer Kate Mills, Outpost delivered over 200 visual effects shots for the show, which is available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video.
