RTS Craft & Design Awards 2025: Outpost Win Best VFX

At a gala presentation on Monday 8 December, Silo season 2 picked up the award for Effects – VFX versus tough challengers including season 2 of Andor.

Overall VFX Supervisor Daniel Rauchwerger, plus VFX Supervisors Rafael Hamm and Paul Bongionvanni, joined Outpost VFX Supervisor Ian Fellows as award nominees.

When presenting the award, host Christine Lampard shared the awards jury's praise for the work in season 2 of Silo:

“The VFX team on the winning entry delivered ambitious and technically outstanding work, particularly in the underwater sequences that stood out for their complexity and realism. The scale of the environments and the intricacy of the asset builds impressed the jury, resulting in a world that feels vast, believable, and immersive.”

The news follows the recent announcement of the Oscars longlist for best VFX, which includes four films that feature visual effects by Outpost. Nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced in late January.
