Rookie Awards 2025: Outpost VFX Joins as Official Sponsor

Outpost VFX is delighted to once again join forces with The Rookie Awards in 2025 as an official studio sponsor.

The Rookie Awards, returning in 2025 for its 15th year, is the premier competition for students, recent graduates and young people with a passion for VFX, animation, games and the wider computer graphics community.

Entries for the Rookie Awards 2025 are open from 7 April until 20 June and are judged by a panel of industry experts from all over the world. This year, Outpost VFX Head of CG Owen Jones will step up to the plate to help choose the best Rookies projects of 2025.

Before you enter this year’s competition, here are the key dates and some pointers:

• Entries Open: 7 April 2025

• Entries Close: 20 June 2025

• Finalists Announced: 31 July 2025

• Winners Announced: 20 August 2025

Who Can Enter?

Entrants must be 18 years or older and have less than one year of professional experience in any of the creative industries featured in the contest categories, as of June 20, 2025. For further information please read the rules.

• Students, Self-Taught Artists, Hobbyists: All are welcome.

• Individuals: Can submit to Rookie of the Year, Film of the Year, and Game of the Year.

• Teams: Allowed only in Film of the Year or Game of the Year (one member leads the entry).
