Dave Brown joins Outpost as Senior Producer

With over 10 years’ experience in the visual effects industry, Brown has worked on several high-profile productions for major clients, including House of the Dragon, The Lion King and Halo. With a career spanning multiple roles at major studios, he spent time as Global Head of Workforce Planning and Finance Manager before transitioning to Executive Producer.

Brown will join Outpost’s UK operation, working closely with clients and show teams as Senior Producer. He said: “I wanted to see a different way of doing VFX where I could have a life outside of my work. So often in this industry we get sucked into the busy hours and schedules. Outpost seemed to be different, and that’s something I want to be a part of.”

Dave Brown began his career in financial departments of VFX studios, maintaining budgets on shows for Disney, Paramount and Dreamworks – including the Academy Award nominated live-action version of Disney's The Lion King. In 2019 he was part of the team that won the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for Sam Mendes’s 1917. He was recently VFX Producer on Amazon’s The Wheel of Time, where he helped managed the delivery of over 700 shots.

Brown added: “I really enjoy working with my show teams across the life of a project. The work we do interesting, fun, and often challenging, but it’s the people that make it special.”

The addition of Dave Brown follows the recent launch of Outpost’s new UK studio in London, with Outpost expanding the creative leadership team with four senior hires.
