You will be responsible for the assisting with successful project planning across all jobs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Using our file transfer system, you will be responsible for the successful ingest and organisation and delivery of all files at Outpost VFX
  • Work with the Production Manager and help schedule projects assigned.
  • Assist the Production Manager in maintaining Shotgun projects delegated to you with data supplied by producers.
  • You will assist the Production Team in keeping a receipt of all data pertaining to each job, including keeping a log of data received and sent.
  • Highlighting to the Production Manager any excessive timeframes on the movement of data.
  • Supply general daily updates to Production Manager.
  • Responsible for the scheduling of dailies and client calls / reviews through the correct booking channels.
  • Ensure all weekly documentation is completed to the satisfaction of the Production Manager.
  • Make sure all client areas are clean and tidy in advance of any meetings.
  • Attending the weekly production meeting and highlight any issues on resource, status and any issues with each job running in the studio. You will also be responsible for taking notes and disseminating this to the production team.
  • Assist the production team with basic tasks, including but not limited to, submission forms, scheduling and shot tracking, booking flights and hotels.
  • Ensure all weekly documentation is completed to the satisfaction of the Production Manager.

  • Constantly show excellent attention to detail and planning.
  • Communicate the culture and ethos of Outpost VFX.
  • Be an ambassador for the company when communicating with clients.
  • Assist the Production team in representing Outpost VFX by being always professional and courteous, both internally and when talking to clients.
  • Help to maintain the successful ingest and delivery of all projects – formally assessed through weekly job reports and Production Manager feedback.
  • Knowledge in Shotgun an asset.

Please note - due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Outpost VFX Montreal is currently operating remotely. In order to be considered for this job, you may need to be able to work from home at the beginning of your appointment. Should things change, artists will be required to work in our Montreal studio. If shortlisted for an interview, you will be asked some questions to assess your home working capability.
